We had a group of 6 adults and 2 children and had a great time camping at Herman Lake Wilderness Campground. Caitlin and her family were beyond accommodating and so nice to deal with all weekend. The property is beautiful and the spots are all nice and private. We all look forward to coming back again!!

Our stay was so nice. The site hosts are so kind and helpful. The dock is only a 5 minute walk from the camp. And there is sheep you can look at as well!! Not every site has their own fire, but there is community fires u can use. Running water is available, but not drinkable.

The site is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a quiet escape. The grassy campsites were a huge bonus, especially with a little one who loves to snack on rocks.

This was a forested site with washroom and communal fire pit close by. Dog friendly. Nice private site large enough for our tent and gazebo. A short drive to the lake. The property was well kept. The outhouse was clean. The host was pleasant and welcoming. Our stay was short but we will definitely be back for a longer stay. Great spot nicely done!

The camp site at Herman lake was off grid and has a backcountry feel to it which we loved! Site 2 was a group site that our family of 5 and my brothers family of 4 stayed with our two RVs. The site was big enough for the both of us and then some. There is a 15min hike from the campground to a park services dock on lake Herman that we did both nights with the families. We caught 1 rainbow trout and saw a moose! There is a very cool outhouse close by with a comfortable toilet seat and pump faucet to wash up. There are also 7-8 tenting sites all around that have their own private space.

The drive up to the sites turns into a dirt road that in some spots are steep but out RVs made it up no problem. Beach was a 12min drive. Overall if you like private and primitive this is a great stay!

This is an amazing place to camp! Site 1 is right on the water, so you can relax on the porch of the glamping tent and watch the wildlife. It’s an incredibly peaceful place, with private campsites, as well as a (very nice!) pit toilet and outdoor shower. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful, quiet spot with clean facilities and friendly staff. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Loved seeing the fireflies and extras to make this a great time!

We are so happy to have discovered this little gem. For anyone craving a true escape into untouched wilderness this campground is the perfect spot. We were amazed by the variety of wild flowers and herbs making it a true forager’s paradise; we even gathered a harvest of delicious wild strawberries. Witnessing turtles in the wild environment added to the charm. Let’s not forget the outdoor showers what a special added touch. The peaceful and serene surroundings combined with the incredible hosts, made our stay unforgettable.

This is an absolutely awesome camping spot, a real hidden gem. Nice and private site next to a beautiful lake with turtles, hares, and moose, with glamping options as well. The host was incredibly helpful and generous, and thankfully jumped our car twice (!) which was a huge lifesaver. This is a very special location, I couldn’t recommend it enough! Book it while you can before it’s discovered by more people!
